After driving 7 hours my back had as good as seized, so actually was heading to the beach for a swim...

As there were a few whitecaps and I had all my gear with me I decided to go out on the Barge. Saw someone kiting a mile or so away, but after 2 months in Tarifa I fancied having the water to myself.

Bad choice of launch area, but once over the rocks with fin intact, had a couple of slow runs and tacks. As if by magic,, the wind kicked in and I was in that utopian state of ¥perfectly powered up¥. Blue sky, sun, warm blue sea, summer shortie, the water to myself, blasting along in the outboard straps... Pure perfection. Getting around a gybe (it was a mess, but I made it) and having the caravan right on the beach for that all-important post-sesh cup of tea just about topped it all off.

The only downside? Enjoyed meself so much, I was an hour late for tea with auntie... oops.
